Make Sure To Backup Your Ebook Websites
We have just had a major attach on our hosting servers. It was really quite terrible, this thing got into all of the websites and changes the index and default files. This caused major problems in the alignment of the site and it also redirected the visitors elsewhere. I guess someone just has nothing better to do.
Luckily I had all of my work backed up, so I could roll back to the version that I have. My colleague wasn’t so lucky as he had his dreamweaver in check in/check out mode and while checking out his HTML client got the infected files.
Make sure you always backup your data and keep it in a safe place. Also make sure that you computer is well protected. I personally could not find anything better then Norton Internet Security 2009. It has an antivirus, a firewall and spam filter.
Another thing is, if your sites do get affected by some virus make sure to change the password on your FTP in cPanel.
