How Much Should My Ebook Cost?

Quite often I get asked how to price an ebook or an electronic product. With Andrew and Daryl Grant’s model, we start at $27 initially. From my expereice I found that price hardly affects on sales, its the headline and sales letter that determine how well it sells. Just make sure that the ebook delivers what is promised, otherwise you will end up with refunds.

We have had an ebook running for 2 years before running some split testing. The first split test we did was by adding testimonials and that increased the conversion rate by 0.15% which was great. The next test that we did was raise the price from $27 to $37 and the conversion rate did not drop. In fact, when we did it for other books, it has actually gone up. People dont mind paying extra for something they consider value. Price determines value.

So, how much should your ebook cost? At least $27 at the beginning.
